OK, I admit it. Last week I lied a bit. I was so excited to say that I was down to my wedding weight and that I was down to 185 pounds that I forgot about the whole instantaneous weight versus average weight conundrum. Yeah, the scale did say 185 once last week, but I’m not really that light…YET! So from now on, all weights reported on this site will be my average weight. When my daily weight is high, I’ll still report my average weight, and vice versa. This way, I can use physics diet to remove ALL of the noise from my daily weigh ins, not just the negative noise. Now, on to the numbers:
Previous Weight: 189.3 lbs
Current Weight: 188.1 lbs
BF: 23%
The previous charts had been showing my entire diet graph. I finally figured out how to just show one week, which is what I’m most interested in for these posts. This graph shows a lot of green, a downward trend, and a weekly weight loss of 1.2 pounds. So even though my weight may seem higher than it was last week, my average weight for the week is down 1.2 pounds from last week.
But the thing I like most is in the above chart. I’ve been logging my weight every day for 5 weeks now. I’ve lost 5.1 pounds during that time and have about a 500 calorie deficit per day for those 5 weeks. I know the math is backwards–they’re using my weight loss to calculate my calorie deficit, not actually calculating my calorie deficit–but the weight is coming off by a little bit more than 1 pound per week again. This is something that wasn’t happening before I started using physics diet.
On the fitness front, I’ve been getting my runs in each day this week. And I went to the gym on Monday. I’m supposed to be going to the gym Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday this week–my three non running days. Pam had to work early this morning, plus we stayed up late watching The Biggest Loser last night, so I might not make it to the gym today. Maybe I’ll go tonight after the kids go to bed, but that usually doesn’t happen. But I’m pretty motivated so we’ll see what happens. Also, my running partner and I have decided to do a “training race.” This weekend, we’re going to run the Shamrock Run up in Portland. It’s an 18K race which should be a good indicator of how our training has been going. Our long runs lately have been right at the 9 mile distance, so this race will fall right in line with those distances. I’m curious to see how I do, but I don’t want to injure myself before the race. It should be fun.
