Does It Matter What You Eat As Long As You Don't Eat Too Many Calories?

When I started dieting, I kept hearing and reading over and over again that if you want to lose weight, it doesn't matter what you eat as long as you eat less calories. At first, I bought into that logic. Why? Because it meant that I can eat whatever I wanted....just as long as I didn't eat too much (yay, I can still have McDonald's!).

Fortunately, I learned really quick that weight loss is not just about how many calories you eat.....you STILL have to watch where those calories come from!

It's not all about calories in and calories out.....there are other factors that come into play in regards to nutrition and improving your health.
  • Cholosterol
  • Heart disease
  • Diabetes
  • High blood pressure
  • Clogged arteries
  • And so much more!
Eating a 2,000 calorie diet of cheeseburgers, cookies, and ice cream is, simply put....a bad idea!

Besides the other health concerns that will come from eating "whatever" you want -- but just less in calories, is the fact that you will maintain body fat (due to an insulin increase....which will then be stored as fat), have a loss of energy, you'll be more hungrier through out the day (since a small portion of unhealthy food is high in calories and therefore you will not be eating as much to reach the 2,000 calorie limit), and will be much more prone to common illnesses due to the lack of vitamins, protein, minerals, fiber, etc.

My friend, eat healthy. It's as simple as that. Please don't listen to those "diet gurus" out here telling you that you can eat whatever you want....but just in moderation. Your body is not stupid. If you keep feeding it junk.....it will respond......and not in a very pleasant way!

Your body craves quality foods. Why do you think you get the fresh energetic feeling after eating a healthy meal or snack? It's because that's what your body wants....and needs! If you want a plan that will generate a for you, that will contain all the foods and meals you should eat based off of YOUR body tpye, then check out this
If your diet consists of healthy food options (complex carbs, healthy fats, fiber, protein, vitamins, minerals), and if you burn off more calories than you consume.....you will be absolutely floored by how much weight you'll lose, how much fat you'll burn off, how much energy you'll have, and how greatly your overall health has improved.
